All skippers are reminded that a call to Fish Dock Island (VHF ch74) must be made before any attempt is made to enter or depart the HCA marina

 Short Term or just passing visitors to the HCA are welcome at all times. Please give our duty Berth Master prior notice of your intended arrival as this helps us plan our berths availability.

Our availability for LTV (Long Term Visitor) berths is constantly changing. At present we have berths available but we are unable to take any Long Term Visitors (LTV’s) pending membership as the membership list is closed.

Membership  (When accepted as an Long Term Visitor)

Applications for membership of the HCA can be made by the completion and submission of the Membership Application form which is enclosed in the LTV introduction pack given to you when you have been accepted as a Long Term Visitor by the Berthing Committee. Application for membership can be made at any time but will NOT be considered OR added to any applicable waiting list at the discretion of the HCA committee until a minimum of 18 months has been completed as a LTV.

Visitors with at least 18 months paid time at the marina accumulated over a two year period can subsequently apply for membership, but membership acceptance will be at the discretion of the HCA committee. At present we have a waiting list for full membership acceptance.

Please be aware that vessels of a wooden hull type construction will NOT be considered for full membership due to association rules.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING

  • ONLY boat owners with boats moored at the HCA can apply for membership and or LTV (Long Term Visitor) status.
  • All LTV and members berths are NONE residential in the Marina.
  • Application to become a LTV can be made via the Berthmaster.
  • All applications to become a member or LTV WILL be subject to any applicable waiting list in FORCE at the time.
  • All membership and or LTV fees will be as applicable at the time and subject to change.
  • The Committee reserve the right to refuse membership and or LTV applications at their sole discretion.

HCA Grimsby has some of the most competitive visitor berthing rates on the East Coast so come and visit us today – visitor berths from £3 per metre, per night  (min 7metres).

(Effective from April 1st 2024)

FEES: Normal visitor £3 per metre per night. £12.35 per metre per week.  £36.60 per metre per month. £85 per metre for 3 months (Maximum).

If arriving out of office hours 0800-1600 Fees can now be paid in the clubhouse there are forms available in a red folder,which you should complete and ask a club member to operate the card machine and you can pay the appropriate fee

This facility is only to be used when leaving before 0800 after that time the duty berthmaster will collect the fees as normal

There is no facility for Cashback

PLEASE NOTE: 

All mooring fees are due in advance. If payment is not made on arrival, or when due, the daily mooring rate will apply, until arrears are paid up to date.

Electricity is included when paying daily mooring rates only, otherwise all other Electricity usage will be charged for as applicable.

Penning Fees

As from 1st February 2019, Visiting Vessels to the HCA will be charged £20 per Locked pen either in or out in addition to any relevant HCA berthing charges, this charge fee is collected on behalf of GFDE Ltd.

All fees are subject to annual change/review

Entertainment, “Meridian Bar” & Social

 We welcome all visitors to our bar which is open most weekends during the winter, and most nights during the summer.

Social Membership

At present we do not offer a Social Membership at our Club however we do offer a limited Associate Membership

Penning Times

These only occur outside normal Free-Flow which is plus or minus 2 hours either side of HW . These are subject to various conditions decided by the GFDE Dockmaster who operates the lock gates. Draft of vessel compared to how much water is over the outer sill as an example.

Vessels returning from passage (Members & LTV’s) will be allowed a Pen subject to above conditions.

Visiting vessels to the HCA will be charged £20 per Locked pen either in or out in addition to any relevant HCA berthing charges, this charge fee is collected on behalf of GFDE Ltd.

New Lift Procedures

These changes have been implemented in order to keep the HCA’s costs under control.

Dear Member

Please be advised that the notice period now required to book a boat lift (In or Out) has been revised as shown below:-

MINIMUM of TWO day’s notice is required to book a boat lift (In or Out) during a Tuesday to Friday week day.

Unless in an Emergancy there will be NO lifts on a Monday.

MINIMUM of FIVE day’s notice is required when requesting a lift (In or Out) on a Saturday or Sunday.
